CrossFit Henleaze onboarding session and membership options

It couldn't be simpler to join CrossFit Henleaze. Even if you have done CrossFit before, we ask that everyone completes our onboarding session before coming to a class. This will give you an understanding of the CrossFit Henleaze approach as well as giving us an opportunity to teach the core movements.

CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Teens, Never Too Old CrossFit and Parent-Baby CrossFit classes do not require onboarding. These classes start with a free trial class.

Step 1: Our onboarding session

We have a variety of membership options to suit the super busy and the ultra flexible.

What is the aim of the onboarding session?

The aim of our 60 minute onboarding session is to prepare you for your first class while familiarising you with our ethos and the techniques and movement standards for the main movements we cover. We teach you how to move safely and as effectively as possible.


The sessions will cover:


  • The Midline Series bracing, planks, hollow body hold and arch hold

  • The Squat Series – air squat, front squat and overhead squat

  • The Press Series – shoulder press, push press and push jerk

  • The Pull and Hinge Series – deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull and medicine ball clean

We will also cover an introduction to midline stability. Absolutely no experience is necessary. Each session will also include a workout at the end so you get a flavour of a CrossFit class before you join your first one. All teaching is done with a PVC pipe – our practice bar. You will then be ready to join our group classes.

Once you have registered an interest in our Onboarding session a CrossFit Henleaze coach will be in contact to organise a time that suits you.

Step 2: Our membership options

Find your perfect fit with flexible membership options

Once you have completed your onboarding sessions you can choose from three options based on whether you are looking to visit 2, 3 or 5 times per week. Alternatively, if you are looking to join one of Parent-Baby CrossFit, CrossFit Teens, CrossFit Kids or Never Too Old CrossFit classes then you can book a 10 class pack. 

Speciality membership classes (includes a FREE trial)

We offer three different speciality CrossFit classes tailored specifically to three subsets of our community. For example, our Parent-Baby CrossFit provides an opportunity to bring babies and young children to classes, our CrossFit Teens includes more games and our Never Too Old CrossFit sessions are adapted to suit those aged 60+.


All of these classes offer a free trial class and then it is £84 for a 10 class pack (classes to be used within 12 months) thereafter.

Parent-Baby CrossFit

Our popular Parent-Baby CrossFit classes are ideal for parents to train with their babies/children. The programming is tailored to suit those who have given birth in the last year and we are mindful of the complexities that this journey brings. Parents can bring babies and young children to the classes and workout alongside them. The classes provide ample opportunity to look after babies and children as well as lots of socialising time whilst getting fitter and stronger. These popular classes run every day at 10:30am.

CrossFit Teens

Our CrossFit Teens classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30pm. They are for secondary school aged young adults (11yrs+). This class introduces our teenage athletes to the correct techniques as they learn a wide selection of skills, lifts and movements. Our fun and friendly classes cater for all different abilities. We strive to nurture and develop a love of exercise and training early in our younger athletes.

Our CrossFit Kids classes are currently full so please email to add your child's name to the waiting list. These classes run on Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:30pm.

Never Too Old CrossFit

Our Never Too Old CrossFit classes run on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:30am and Wednesdays at 1:30pm. These fun and friendly classes are tailored for people 60 years+ of all abilities. Our aim is to improve health and fitness and create a buffer to the physical difficulties that may come as we get older. The classes are different each week and involve a range of functional movements designed to mimic real life activities. For example step ups to different height boxes, carrying weights, and assisted press ups. Bikes and rowing machines are also used to develop cardio-vascular endurance. 

Family Discount

Any additional family members from the same household who join will receive a 10% discount.

Drop ins

Existing CrossFitters are always welcome to drop in for a class. It is £15 per class.

  • Where is The Bank Fitness located?
    We are located at 73 Henleaze Road, Bristol, BS9 4JS.
  • What are the opening hours of The Bank Fitness?
    We are open from 6am - 10pm every day.
  • What classes are available?
    There are a range of classes and treatments available at The Bank Fitness. CrossFit Henleaze offers group fitness classes. BJJ @ The Bank offers Jiu-jitsu classes, grappling and MMA and there are a multitude of other classes and treatments on offer including Pilates, Yoga, sports massage, physiotherapy, kinesiology and reflexology.
  • Can my children sign up to classes?
    We have a strong family friendly ethos and many of our services include options for children. Please contact each coach or therapist for more details. In addition, The Bank Fitness has close ties to Manor Farm Functional Fitness, which operate fitness classes for children which are all about encouraging children to be active and move with good technique whilst having fun.
  • Do you have changing and shower facilities?
    Yes, we have two brand new shower rooms installed for everybody to use. They include a gas powered shower, toilet, basin, electric hand dryer and changing space. We also provide complimentary shower gel and face wash.
  • How can I contact you?
    Each service can be contacted directly. Please find the service you are interested in from the menu list.
  • Is parking available for my car?
    There is plenty of car parking available on nearby streets. Please be courteous to local residents who form a large part of our community.
  • Do you have a bike rack?
    We have bike storage facilities next to the CrossFit Henleaze main entrance and we will be installing more in the rear courtyard soon.
  • What are your membership options and pricing?
    Each class and treatment has a different pricing structure. Please select the service you are interested in to find out more.
